One Man Dead in Monrovia Shooting

A man was killed Friday in Monrovia in an apparent gang-related shooting, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) said in a news release.

At 5 p.m. Friday, Monrovia Police units responded to the 100 block of Los Angeles Street. Upon arriving officers discovered a man suffering from several gunshot wounds in front of a residence.

Monrovia officers administered first aid until the arrival of Monrovia Fire Department at which time the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description or any additional information available at this time.

LASD homicide investigators are assisting the Monrovia Police Department.
