Part of the reason the Monrovia Unified School District produces professional productions for the community is to give Monrovia students the chance to interact with professionals in the drama community. The next production, “Sister Act,” is no exception. Not only will students from the Theater Conservatory at Monrovia High School (MHS) take part as the stage crew under the guidance of Roger Castellanos, but two MHS freshmen are in the cast as well.

These two young women are Sophia Lee and Kyihilee Zamora who will make up part of the ensemble in the production taking on many roles. They will be working with Leah Stewart, Delores Van Cartier/Sister Mary Clarence, and Keely Milliken who will portray Mother Superior. They are under the direction of Roger Castellano who is also doing the choreography with musical direction by Graham Jackson. The production will be at the Taylor Performing Arts Center at Monrovia High School, 845 West Colorado Blvd.
