Foothill Unity Center to be Honored by Monrovia Providers Group

The Monrovia Providers Group Awards dinner, “A Night of Recognition” will be held on Sept. 19, 2019, at the Monrovia Tennis Club, located at 158 N. Sunset Place, Monrovia, CA 91016. The reception will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the awards program and dinner beginning at 7 p.m.

That evening, three distinct awards will be presented. Foothill Unity Center will be presented the Lisa Magno Award for contributions to the physical and mental wellbeing of San Gabriel Valley seniors. Grocery Outlet Duarte will be presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award, for their contributions to senior-focused events that improve the quality of life of Foothill seniors. And finally, Nathan Kirschenbaum will be presented the Joel Olson Award, for his work developing Dementia Friendly Monrovia and efforts to promote the Monrovia Providers Group in the community.

For over 20 years, the Monrovia providers Group’s mission “to engage the senior community and improve the experience of aging” has led the development of relationships and inspired collaboration throughout the valley.
