Monrovia’s Baseball Field at Recreation Park Sees Improvements

The City of Monrovia has been working with the Monrovia Youth Baseball League (MYBL) on baseball field improvements at Recreation Park.  An overview of upgrades that have been instituted include:

  • New light bulbs were installed in the scoreboard and the facility was repainted.
  • City staff coordinated upgrades to the baseball infield lip by regarding the area of concern and reseeding the locations in need of new turf.
  • City staff is coordinating the installation of an outfield fence, whereby the city will bore holes for the sleeves needed for new fencing.
  • The backstop has been repainted.
  • City staff has worked to identify ways for installing a new batting cage adjacent to the baseball field.
