Sunday, officials issued a mandatory evacuation order for all residents north of Elkins Avenue and east of Santa Anita Avenue in the City of Arcadia which remains in effect as of Monday until further notice. Residents north of Foothill Boulevard and east of Santa Anita Avenue remain under an evacuation warning as well.

Residents are advised to evacuate the area using Santa Anita Avenue. Red Cross Los Angeles reopened the evacuation center at Santa Anita Park Sunday, located at 285 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA, 91007. Residents are advised to enter through Gate 5.
Fire crews worked overnight to protect the foothill neighborhoods of Arcadia. The Bobcat Fire made its way into the Chantry Flat area above Arcadia and approached Wilderness Park. Although the fire burned the hillside above the park, the park was not damaged. No structures in Arcadia have been impacted.
The Arcadia Police Department continues to provide routine patrols within the mandatory evacuation area, and elderly, disabled and high-risk residents who require evacuation assistance are advised to dial 9-1-1.

On Sunday, Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger signed a proclamation declaring a local emergency in the county and requested a state proclamation.
The Bobcat Fire has grown to 36,366 acres and is 6% contained as of Monday morning. Crews will be focused on strengthening and improving the fire line between the south end of the fire and the foothills communities Monday, according to the latest incident report. When possible, control lines will be established on the fires edge and residents can expect to see strategic firing operations.
The fire has crossed to the west side of Santa Anita Canyon and is growing towards Mt. Wilson and Mt. Harvard. On the north end, the fire has reached Bear Creek and will continue to spread west along the crest. So far crews have been successful at picking up all spot fires that have crossed Highway 2 and crews will work to maintain that perimeter. The fire is holding to the west side of Highway 39 and crews will continue to work at maintaining this perimeter. As of Monday, officials estimate containment will be achieved on Oct. 30.
Monday night, fire management will host a virtual public meeting via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. Representatives from the Bobcat Fire will be available to provide an update and respond to questions. Join the Zoom meeting at USFS.ZoomGov.com/j/ 1609926478 and the meeting ID is 160 992 6478.
