In the wake of excessive exuberance over Memorial Day, areas such as Chantry and Eaton Canyon hiking trails now remain closed again in the ongoing effort to keep the public from breaking social distancing rules.
The U.S Forest Service has shut down the Chantry Flats Recreation Area due to the Federal furlough. It will remain closed until further notice and the gates leading up to Chantry Flats will remain locked.
Bailey Canyon and Mount Wilson Trail will remain open for the time being unless shut for high fire danger.
