At 8:32 a.m., an officer responded to SLJ Real Estate, located at 836 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a commercial burglary investigation. A store employee entered the business and encountered a subject in the office. After confronting the subject, the male fled on foot, northbound on Baldwin Avenue. The employee then noticed two checkbooks and an undisclosed amount of money missing from the business. The suspect was described as a 6-foot tall male, approximately 150 pounds, and he was seen wearing dark clothing. The investigation is ongoing pending a review of additional surveillance footage.
On May 17, an officer responded to the 500 block of West Huntington Drive regarding a report of a stolen catalytic converter. The victim discovered his catalytic converter had been removed from his vehicle sometime between May 14 and 15. There is no suspect information at this time.
May 18
At 11:52 a.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of East Santa Clara Street regarding a stolen vehicle report. Surveillance footage revealed a small pick-up truck towed away the victim’s enclosed trailer, which had been parked in front of the victim’s business. The theft occurred at 10:52 p.m. on May 17. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a small, white pick-up truck with the driver’s side of the bed painted black. The investigation is ongoing.
At 5:13 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of East Duarte Road regarding a mail tampering report. The officer determined an unidentified suspect pried open the community mailbox sometime between May 11 at 5 p.m. and May 18 at 4:30 p.m. There was no mail in the mailboxes when the officer arrived. There was no suspect information at the time of this report.
May 19
At 1:59 p.m., an officer took a telephonic fraud report for a resident of the 500 block of West Live Oak Avenue. The victim stated he lost his wallet and since then, he noticed fraudulent transactions on his Capital One and Bank of America cards. The suspect(s) charged a total of $822.51 in fraudulent purchases. The victim did not desire prosecution.
May 20
At 12:47 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of West Lemon Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim discovered his passenger-side front window had been smashed and the suspect(s) fled with a box of latex gloves. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect is a Hispanic male, approximately 15 to 25-years-old, who was seen wearing an “LA” blue and white hooded sweatshirt. The victim will provide the police department a copy of the footage at a later date.
At 5:56 p.m., an officer responded to CVS Pharmacy, located at 1401 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a battery incident. An investigation revealed the victim was pushed from behind as he was exiting CVS. When the victim turned to confront the suspect, surveillance footage revealed the suspect and victim exchanged words before a fight ensued. Both fought until the suspect ultimately fled in a white Honda Accord. The victim sustained a small cut to his right eye and Arcadia Paramedics responded to treat the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
May 21
At 2:15 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of mail tampering in the 2500 block of South Third Avenue. Sometime between May 17 and May 20, the victim’s mail box has been tampered with and the victim found his mail box without any mail in it. There is no suspect information at this time.
May 22
At 9:10 a.m., an officer responded to Ocean Line Logistics, located at 630 W. Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary report. The victim determined unidentified suspect(s) entered by damaging the front door lock; then once inside, they stole a computer server and a security camera. There is no suspect information at this time.
At 3:54 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a package theft from a residence in the 00 block of Andrea Lane. Surveillance footage revealed a lone suspect stole two packages from his porch at 1:05 a.m. on May 22. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a thin build, dark short hair, a goatee, was wearing a windbreaker jacket, shorts, and reflective athletic shoes. The suspect fled in a light colored, unknown model, four-door sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
May 23
At 5:05 a.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Huntington Drive and Fifth Avenue regarding a domestic battery investigation, which involved a verbal disagreement between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend. The argument escalated into the male suspect stealing the female’s tablet and dragging her against her will. The female transient did not sustain any injuries or markings from the incident. The suspect was identified as a 46-year-old male transient from Los Angeles. The investigation is ongoing.
At 8:58 a.m., the Arcadia Police Department received an electronically submitted report for a package theft that occurred in the 00 block of West Foothill Boulevard. The victim discovered her Costco package went missing after it was delivered to her home. There is no suspect information at this time.
At 12:51 p.m., an officer responded to the 1400 block of Rodeo Road regarding a mail theft report. The suspect was witnessed stealing a resident’s mail, got into a white Ford SUV, and fled eastbound on Orange Grove Avenue. The suspect was described as a heavy set, white or Hispanic female, in her 30s. The reporting party provided the officer with a photo of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
At 7:45 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of Carolwood Drive regarding a residential burglary report. The officer discovered the rear sliding glass door had been pried open and miscellaneous items of sentimental value had been stolen from the home. A cigarette butt was left behind in one of the bedrooms and was collected as evidence. The officer did not locate any surveillance footage, witnesses, or additional suspect information.
