Shortly before 12:11 a.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of East Huntington Drive regarding a transient sleeping in a secured parking lot. A records check revealed the 33-year-old male from Pomona had five outstanding misdemeanor warrants. The suspect admitted to being in possession of a controlled substance and a methamphetamine pipe. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At approximately 8:56 p.m., an officer responded to a parking lot in the 1200 block of South Baldwin Avenue regarding a theft from vehicle report. Sometime between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on March 8, a suspect stole the victim’s rear driver side wheel and tire. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
March 9
Just after 5 p.m., an officer responded to Residence Inn, located at 321 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a vandalism report. The victim discovered an unknown suspect smashed his rear driver side window and scratched the hood of his vehicle. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
At approximately 5:29 p.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department’s front counter regarding a fraud report. An investigation revealed the suspect stole a signed check from his home and cashed it. The investigation is ongoing.
March 10
Around 12:21 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of East Lemon Avenue regarding a residential burglary report. The officer determined unknown suspect(s) smashed a rear door, ransacked the home, and fled with an unknown amount of property. The investigation is ongoing.
Just before 4 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Pamela Road regarding a domestic disturbance report. The officers discovered an altercation between a husband and wife turned physical with both sustaining injuries. The 29-year-old husband, from Arcadia, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
March 11
Around 12:19 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Live Oak Avenue regarding a residential burglary report. An investigation revealed the suspects entered through an unlocked front door. The suspects stole clothing, a wallet, and a set of keys, and then fled through the garage door. The investigation is ongoing.
Shortly after 2:41 p.m., an officer responded to Victoria’s Secret, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a grand theft report. Surveillance footage revealed one suspect stole numerous items of women’s clothing, on March 11, at approximately 11:06 a.m. The suspect is described as a white male with a goatee mustache, and he was wearing black colored clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
March 12
Before 10:06 a.m., an officer responded to the City of Arcadia Public Works Facility, located at 11800 Goldring Road, regarding a grand theft report. An investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) cut the lock to the secured parking lot and siphoned fuel out of a storage tank. The investigation is ongoing.
Around 4 p.m., an officer responded the Arcadia Police Department front counter regarding vehicle burglary that occurred at 24 Hour Fitness, located at 125 N. First Ave., on March 12. An unknown suspect pried open the victim’s secured vehicle, stole cash and credit cards from the victim’s wallet, and then used the credit cards to complete fraudulent transactions. The investigation is ongoing.
March 13
At about 1:39 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of North First Avenue regarding a battery report that occurred in the area on March 11. An investigation revealed a battery occurred between two transients resulting in the suspect punching the victim once in the face. The suspect, a 60-year-old male from Arcadia, is outstanding as of March 17.
Just before 7:46 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Oaklawn Road regarding an attempted residential burglary report. A neighbor encountered three suspects in the backyard of a nearby residence. The suspects fled to an awaiting vehicle. The suspects are described as three males all wearing hooded sweatshirts, baseball caps, and bandanas across their faces. The investigation is ongoing.
March 14
Shortly after 1:40 a.m., an officer initiated contact with the driver of a vehicle obstructing the roadway near the intersection of West Camino Real Avenue and South Santa Anita Avenue. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the running vehicle. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the suspect was driving with a blood alcohol content above .08%. The 41-year-old female from Pasadena was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At approximately 8:31 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of South Third Avenue regarding a commercial burglary report. An investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) broke into the victim’s locked storage shed and stole a hedge trimmer. The investigation is ongoing.
