Featuring the State of the City Address

The City of Arcadia will present the 46th Annual Mayor’s Community Breakfast on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel located at 211 E. Huntington Drive. For the third consecutive year, the City of Arcadia is partnering with the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce to host this event. Waste Management will also be a sponsor this year. The event will feature the State of the City Address presented by Mayor April Verlato.

“The theme for this year’s breakfast is Women of Arcadia,” said Mayor April Verlato. “I want to recognize the important contributions and influences that pioneering women have had on the culture of our community, and many of the significant accomplishments we have achieved this year for Arcadia.”

This year’s keynote address will be given by Arcadia resident Dr. Jasmine Sharma. Dr. Sharma is a local pediatrician and she received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She will be sharing a powerful and personal story that shaped her life. “I am honored to be a part of this year’s Mayor’s Breakfast,” said Dr. Sharma.

Tickets for the event are $20 per person and a breakfast buffet is included. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Arcadia Woman’s Club, an organization that was founded in 1914 and works to improve communities through volunteer service. It is an organization that believes in and supports the efforts of women to make the world a better place through service, self-empowerment, and education.

Reservations are required by Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020. Tickets may be purchased online at ArcadiacaChamber.org beginning Monday, Dec. 23, 2019 or by contacting the Mayor’s Office at (626) 574-5403, or email to mbuttice@ArcadiaCA.gov.
