Shortly before 10:42 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of East Wistaria Avenue regarding a burglary alarm activation. Surveillance footage revealed three suspects entered the home through a rear window, ransacked the residence, and fled with paperwork. The suspects are described as two Hispanic males and one black male. The investigation is ongoing.
At approximately 11:25 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Oakwood Avenue regarding a fraud report. An investigation revealed an unknown suspect obtained the victim’s personal information and filed fraudulent tax returns. The victim does not know how the suspect obtained their personal information or the identity of the suspect.
Just after 8:10 p.m., an officer responded to a home in the 1800 block of Oakwood Avenue regarding a burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed an unknown suspect entered an open garage and stole a small canvass tool bag which contained approximately $150 worth of tools. The investigation is ongoing.
March 25
At approximately 12:26 a.m., an officer responded to Foothill Mini Storage, 431 North Second Avenue, regarding a commercial burglary report. The officer discovered unknown suspect(s) cut and tampered with the locks to four storage units. The investigation is ongoing.
March 26
Around 9:08 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of La Porte Street and Flower Street regarding a male subject causing a disturbance and harassing a female victim. While talking to the subject, the 36-year-old male from Palmdale fled on foot. Officers quickly detained him and during a search, located a glass smoking pipe. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Just before 8:54 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of West Duarte Road regarding a battery report. The victim stated she and her husband were engaging in an argument when both parties became violent and battered each other. The husband was determined to be the primary aggressor and the 41-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
March 27
At about 2:02 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Walnut Avenue regarding an audible alarm activation. Officers located a lone suspect in a vehicle parked in front of the home. The second suspect exited the home, saw the officers, dropped the stolen property, and fled on foot. An area search was conducted but the officers were unable to locate the second suspect. A 33-year-old female from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. A records check revealed she had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The investigation is ongoing.
Shortly after 11:04 a.m., officers responded to the Santa Anita Mall, 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a child endangerment report. Witnesses reported a 4-year-old boy had been left alone for nearly 45 minutes while his mother went into various stores. The suspect, a 44-year-old female from Rosemead, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
March 28
Around 4:12 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Highland Oaks Drive regarding a battery report. An argument between a husband and a wife escalated when the husband grabbed his wife and struck her in the throat, causing her to fall. The suspect then threatened to cause great bodily injury to the victim. The wife sustained injuries to her neck and arms. The suspect, a 36-year-old from Arcadia, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Before 6:01 p.m., an officer responded to Sephora, 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a shoplift report. Loss prevention employees witnessed the suspect conceal and steal more than $260 worth of merchandise. An investigation revealed the 20-year-old female from South El Monte stole nearly $410 from JCPenney and $17.70 from Forever 21. The suspect was cited and released in the field.
March 29
At about 4:32 a.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of West Duarte Road regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim discovered an unknown suspect smashed her front passenger window and fled with two utility knives, makeup, and pepper spray. Three other vehicle burglaries or window smash vandalisms were reported in the nearby vicinity on the same night. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
Just before 6:02 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2700 block of Longley Way regarding an identity theft report. The victim received notices from various banks asking for additional information for new accounts that were fraudulently opened in her name. The victim closed all fraudulent accounts and does not know how the unknown suspect obtained her personal information.
March 30
Shortly after 8:40 a.m., an officer witnessed a subject in the roadway near the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Old Ranch Road. During a consensual search of the subject, the officer located a meth pipe and a shaved key, a burglary tool commonly used to unlock locked vehicles. The 34-year-old male from Pasadena was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At approximately 9:32 p.m., an officer responded to Victoria’s Secret, 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft report. A store employee witnessed four suspects steal approximately $7,933 worth of merchandise. The suspects are described as three black females and one black male. The investigation is ongoing.
