Arcadia PD Makes Residential Burglary Arrest

On March 2, 2019, at approximately 7:11 AM, officers responded to the Singing Wood Drive, on the report of an audible burglar alarm. As an officer arrived, he saw a male subject enter a vehicle and drive away. When the officer drove behind the vehicle it fled at a high rate of speed and ran a posted stop sign. A short pursuit ended after the vehicle struck a pole, near the corner of Foothill and Rosemead Blvd.

The driver ran from the scene and a containment was established with assisting allied agencies. Officers from allied agencies also assisted with confirming that a burglary had occurred at a residence on Singing Wood Drive.

During the search, Arcadia Police Officers found a male, black, 15-year old juvenile, hiding in a garage within Arboleda St., in the unincorporated area of Pasadena.

The juvenile was positively identified as the driver of the vehicle involved in the pursuit. Burglary tools were also found inside the involved vehicle. The juvenile was arrested for suspicion of Residential Burglary and Evading a Peace Officer.
