It’s hard to believe, but in a week, major street work in the Southwest project area of the overall Monrovia Renewal infrastructure improvement initiative is set to begin. The construction team at Sully-Miller Contracting Company is currently planning to begin roadway pulverization for all streets in the Southwest project area on Dec. 5, that are planned for reconstruction. The impacted streets that will be reconstructed in the Southwest area include:
– Cherry Avenue – from Alta Vista to Myrtle
– Chestnut Avenue – from Monterey to Myrtle
– Cypress Avenue – from Alta Vista to Myrtle
– Highway Esplanade – from Huntington to Chestnut
– King Street – from Monterey to Mayflower
– Maple Avenue – from Mayflower to Primrose
– Montana Street – from Magnolia to Myrtle
– Olive Avenue – from Mayflower to the western end of the cul-de-sac
– Primrose Avenue – from Huntington to Central
– Walnut Avenue – from Mayflower to Myrtle
Also, please keep in mind that the above street listings are not the only roads planned for repair in the Southwest project area. There are other streets that will be maintained as part of the overall Monrovia Renewal project, just with a different repair treatment.
