Nov. 6

Shortly before 7:38 p.m., an officer responded to Sephora at the Santa Anita Mall, 400 S Baldwin Ave., regarding a petty theft report. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect concealed numerous items in her purse before exiting the store, failing to make payment. The 20-year-old female from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Nov. 7

Around 9:40 a.m., an officer responded to LA Fitness, 1325 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a grand theft report. The victim stated his locker was broken into and the suspect fled with $22,000 from his backpack and wallet. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Nov. 8

At about 3:03 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Fano Street regarding a burglary in progress. Officers located the suspect inside the house. The suspect did not comply with the officers’ request to exit the residence so they deployed the West Covina Police Department K9 team. The 29-year-old male from Duarte was located by the K9 unit and arrested without incident. Arcadia Fire transported the suspect to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for treatment of his injuries that occurred during the K9 apprehension.

Just after 10:54 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West La Sierra Drive regarding a mail theft report. The officer discovered unknown suspect(s) pried open the victim’s mail box. It is unknown if any mail was stolen. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Around 9:41p.m., an officer responded to Nordstrom, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed the 30-year-old female from Pasadena concealed a shirt in her shopping bag before exiting the store, failing to make payment. An investigation revealed the suspect had stolen items from Nordstrom on five separate occasions within the previous three weeks. She was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Nov. 9

Shortly after 9:49 a.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front counter regarding a fraud report. The officer discovered the suspect forged one of the victim’s checks for the amount of $9,000 and deposited it into his account. The victim does not know how the suspect obtained his check. The 37-year-old male from Upland is outstanding at the time of this report.

At about 3:32 p.m., an officer responded to the Santa Anita Mall, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding an activation of an Arcadia Police Department GPS tracker. Arcadia PD detectives had previously deployed decoy bicycles with tracking devices to combat the increase in bike thefts throughout the city. An investigation revealed a 19-year-old male from El Monte was in possession of the stolen bicycle and GPS tracker. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Nov. 10

At approximately 8:59 a.m., an officer responded to the UPS Store, 713 W. Duarte Road, regarding a suspicious circumstances report. The officer discovered an unknown suspect used an unrelated business’s information to ship a package to an individual in New York. An investigation revealed it contained 30 pounds of marijuana. The investigation is ongoing.

Around 9:27 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia 210 Self Storage, 324 N. Second Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. The officer determined a male suspect, who rents a neighboring unit, entered the victim’s unit by unknown means and stole an assortment of purses. The investigation is ongoing.

At about 3:33 p.m., an officer responded to Burlington Coat Factory, 1201 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a shoplift report. A loss prevention specialist witnessed the suspect conceal numerous items inside an empty shopping bag before exiting the store, failing to make payment. The 30-year-old male from Covina was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. The suspect also had an outstanding felony warrant.

Nov. 11

Just before 2:32 p.m., an officer attempted to initiate consensual contact with a subject near the 5600 block of Peck Road, however, the suspect ignored the officer’s request and fled on foot into a “No Trespassing” area. The officer located the suspect and discovered he had a meth pipe in his backpack. The 46-year-old male transient was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Around 3:58 p.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front counter regarding a theft that occurred at AMC Theaters, 400 S. Baldwin Ave. The victim stated she found an unknown suspect lying underneath her seat inside the theater. She confronted the suspect and discovered he had removed her belongings from her purse. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 inches tall, wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.

Shortly after 7:48 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of S. Santa Anita Ave. regarding a disturbance report. An investigation revealed a male suspect pointed an airsoft gun at two juveniles who were selling magazine. The 21-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Nov. 12

At approximately 9:30 p.m., an officer responded to Santa Anita Mall, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a vehicle burglary report. The officer discovered an unknown suspect tampered with the rear window hatch and stole the victim’s third row seat. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
