Member Concierge Position Available

The following is the schedule, responsibilities, wages and requirements for the current opening with the city’s chamber of commerce:

Schedule: Minimum 20 hours a week, plus meetings and special events.

– Community Affairs – First Thursday of each month – 8 a.m.

– Networking Breakfasts – Third Thursday of each month – 6:45 a.m.

– Love Lunches – Fourth Wednesday of each month – 11:30 a.m.

– Various mixers – generally from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on changing days of the month.

– Ribbon Cuttings – dates/times vary.

Wages: $12 per hour.

Responsibilities: Office Support/Customer service/General tasks

– Answer phones/emails and best direct members/clients and answer questions.

– Process documents and paperwork, including new member information and Certificates of Origin.

– Process reservations and RSVPs for events and Chamber services.

– Book and manager conference room rentals, including security codes, cleaning, room set ups, etc.

– Assist in prep and post for all events, including printing/organizing paperwork/flyers, sending media releases, social media, etc.

– Update website when needed – mainly job postings, news and calendar.

– Assist in keeping office clean.

– Ability to interact with customers of all ages and abilities – on the phone, via email and in person – comfortable in all settings with all types of people.

– Take minutes/notes for various events, meetings.

– Finding, contacting and organizing speakers for events, specifically for Community Affairs meeting.

Requirements:

– Basic knowledge of WordPress a must – general HTML a plus

– General knowledge of social media – including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

– Constant Contact experience a plus.

– Excellent grammar and writing skills.

– Ability to problem solve and work independently.
