The congregation of Church of the Good Shepherd is planning a festive welcome for their two newly appointed ministers and their families Sunday, July 5. The Rev. George Hooper has been named to serve as senior pastor. He most recently ministered at Vista. Lydia Sohn, a U.M. Elder, will be the associate pastor. Following the 10 a.m. worship service, where Rev. Hooper will preach here for the first time, the United Methodist Men will host a barbecue. The United Methodist Women will provide ice cream sundaes.
