Methodist Hospital has re-opened their Cath Lab 3, which has been updated with the same technology as their Cath Lab 2.
A catheterization laboratory, or cath lab, is an examination room with diagnostic imaging equipment used to visualize the arteries and chambers of the heart.
A reception and the ribbon-cutting was hosted by Methodist Hospital’s Foundation Monday evening with dignitaries like Sho Tay, Arcadia City Councilmember, Congresswoman Judy Chu, and Foundation President Mike Driebe.

The Cath Lab 2 renovation, completed in February 2015, included all-new state-of-the-art equipment, such as the Artis Zeego Imaging System. Artis Zeego is the first multi-axis system based on robotic technology that provides greater positioning flexibility and broader coverage. It can be controlled with far greater ease and precision than a traditional floor- or ceiling-mounted system.
With these updates completed, Methodist is now able to serve more patients with the latest technology.
These renovations were made possible by $2 million in generous donations from the community, largely through the fund-raising efforts of the Methodist Hospital Foundation’s Cardiac Council members, who volunteered their time and expertise to this endeavor.
