Two Men Arrested for Burglary and Assault with Deadly Weapon

On June 04, 2015, at approximately 4:39 PM, the Arcadia Police Department received a call of four males fighting in the 200 Block of East Colorado Boulevard. Responding officers detained the four involved males, who were no longer fighting.
A preliminary investigation revealed that two of the males unlawfully entered the house and were confronted by the two occupants. A physical confrontation started inside of the house and ended in the front yard of the residence. Sometime during the confrontation, one of the involved males struck one of the residents in the head with a sprinkler. The victim sustained a small laceration to his head. He was treated, and released, at the scene by Arcadia Fire Paramedics.

The two men were arrested on suspicion of Residential Burglary and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Both men are currently being held on $50,000.00 bail at the Los Angeles County jail. They were identified as:
• Kevin Gerald Kelly, a 57-year-old resident of Hollywood, booking number 4332547
• Floyd Edward Broadnax, a 52-year-old resident of Long Beach, booking number 4332549
