Arcadia High Graduate is LA City Firefighter of the Year

Captain Jack Fry, 54, was named Firefighter of the Year for the Los Angeles City Fire Dept. recently for his dedication and years of unblemished service to the communities he protected.

3,600 fellow firefighters and paramedics selected him for this honor this year.
Fry is in his 35th year on the LA City Fire Dept. His son Daniel is currently a fire paramedic and attends Cal Fire academy in Sacramento.
Captain Jack graduated from both Arcadia High and Pasadena City College. Jack Fry is currently stationed at a fire station in San Pedro. Jack’s parents Art and Mary Fry live in Arcadia and are devoted volunteers in the Arcadia Police Dept. and can be seen at just about every city function.

Firefighter of the Year, Jack Fry has been married to his wife Mary for 30 years.
