The World Cup dream for USA becomes a nightmare-
USA out of World Cup

The United States’ World Cup dream ended in a nightmare on Tuesday night in Brazil with a 2-1 extra-time downfall to Belgium .
The scoreless game after 90 minutes of regulation, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku struck in the first additional period to knock the U.S. out of the World Cup
Julian Green got one back for the U.S. with 13 minutes to go, but it was not enough to avoid being eliminated at this stage for the second straight World Cup.
As nervous patrons in pubs everywhere witnessed with eight minutes left, a well-worked free-kick found Clint Dempsey in the box, but the U.S. captain’s shot was saved by Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The look on everone’s face in London Gastropub told the story best. The Agony and the ecstasy of getting so close to a dream for a country that has embraced the world of football (soccer) only in recent years was clearly a defining moment in the history of USA’s participation.
