Pasadena Humane Society to License Sierra Madre Canines

At the June 12, 2012 City Council meeting, the Sierra Madre City Council unanimously approved a contract expanding the services the Pasadena Humane Society provides for the residents in Sierra Madre. Under the new contract, the Pasadena Humane Society will take over the dog licensing program in addition to the existing animal control services beginning July 1, 2012.
Due to this shift in responsibilities, the City of Sierra Madre will not be sending out renewal notices for dog licenses. Residents will be able to register their dogs utilizing the form at http://www.pasadenahumane.org. Forms will also be available at Sierra Madre City Hall after July 1st.
Annual dog license fees will be as follows:
$20.00 Altered dogs
$10.00 Altered dogs (senior discount)
$25.00 penalty for licenses paid over 30 days late
$40.00 Unaltered dogs
$20.00 Unaltered dogs (senior discount)
The Pasadena Humane Society has also committed to hosting a Rabies Clinic in Sierra Madre later this year. Please call 626-792-7151 x115 or email licensing@phsspca.org if you have any questions. Pasadena Humane Society licensing officers are available Tuesdays-Fridays from 2 pm-6 pm and Saturdays 2 pm-5 pm.
