To the Editor:
The only thing that imperils America’s new health care program, the Affordable Care Act, now, are the Republican-leaning majority of Supreme Court Justices. Republican politicians have shot their wad and come up empty-handed. The ACA is here to stay just like Medicare and Social Security.
With the latest signup numbers now out, it’s time for the opponents of Obamacare to face facts; there won’t be an Obamacare death spiral. The millions of people who are participating and benefitting from the ACA are thankful they now have health care coverage,
Let’s give credit where credit is due: Obamacare is good for the country; 82 percent of people signing up on the health exchanges qualify for a subsidy, and for them, premiums are so affordable they are signing up for more generous coverage.
A new Kaiser poll found that 56 percent of Americans want to keep the ACA, while just 31 percent want it repealed.
People are finally coming to their senses and are not listening to and believing Republican lies in regards to the Affordable Care Act.
