The Monrovia Girls’ Tennis Teams started their fall schedule. The Varsity play at Burbank High School while the Junior Varsity is at Monrovia. Matches begin at 3:15 pm.
Both teams look solid and are expected to put forth competitive efforts this year. The Varsity is led by veterans Victoria Rose, Verity Tawel, Audrey Lilyquist, Sarah Jones, and Rino Koach. Katia Guerrero, Adrianna Manrique, Paulina Baray, Naedine Barcieto, Maya Carbajal, and Sammie Saucedo are up from the JV last year to provide doubles strength and depth.
T Junior Varsity is led by returnees Claudia Millan, Bonnie Zucco, Erika Paulan, and Amy Leonard. First timer Sarah Duran as well as freshmen Kristen Gauderman and Sash Spencer are expected to have an early impact.
