Special Meeting at Monrovia City Council 7:30 Thursday
As a result of the news of Clarence Shaw’s resignation, Monrovia City Council is holding a special meeting at 7:30 this Thursday.
Shaw has refused comment to the media on the matter of his sudden resignation.
Here is the text of Shaw’s resignation:
“Please accept this e-mail as my letter of resignation from the council.
17 January 2013
Effective immediately, I Clarence R. Shaw resign my seat as a Monrovia City Council Member to continue to my service to this Country.
FYI: I will not be releasing a statment (sic) to the media, nor will I be speaking to the media regarding my decision. My hope is that the Council will continue it’s great efforts with a seamless process.
