Aéropostale Announces ‘What Makes You Smile’ T-Shirt Design Contest

Brand Contest Encouraging Kids to Express Themselves and Design Wearable Artwork

Aéropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO), a mall-based specialty retailer of casual apparel for young women and men, announced its P.S. from Aéropostale ‘What Makes You Smile’ T-Shirt Design Contest. Students are given the chance to submit a t-shirt design from October 1, 2012 to October 31, 2012 to express what makes them smile. From November 1, 2012 to November 15, 2012, each contestant’s family and friends get the chance to vote for their favorite design. One student from grades 1-5 will be awarded with prizes for themselves and their school.
The competition begins when the top 100 designs with the most votes are nominated to become finalists. Then, a panel of P.S. from Aéropostale experts, including the Senior Vice President from the P.S. design team, will select one lucky Grand Prize winner from each grade. Each winner will win a $500 P.S. from Aéropostale gift card, $1000 for their school, an in school presentation by P.S. to celebrate the winning design, P.S. from Aéropostale t-shirts for all their classmates, and 50 t-shirts with their design for friends and family.
Winning designs will be announced in December followed by school presentations in February and March.
