Musicians Band Together to Help one of their Own

Guitarist David “Kid” Ramos of East L A Band, Los Fabulocos has recently been diagnosed with a rare cancer .His band which infuses an eclectic mix of Tex/Mex and Blues will be performing with 7 other bands to help raise funds for “Kid” Ramos’ treatment and family. Ramos is one of the most respected players in Los Angeles. Ramos is well known for playing his cool 12 string Bajo Sexto which is made with the same reverence for heritage as the traditional mexican music it is used in. Primarily used to play bass and chordal accompaniment in a conjunto group, this guitar’s lowered tuning gives it a very rich and resonant sound. The fundraiser Sunday will be held at 545 N. Citrus, Covina, CA 91723 (Between San Bernardino Road and Front Street) The suggested donation is only $12…That’s less than $2 to see each band and help a musician and his family in a time of need. Call (626) 331-2824 for more details.
