The City of Baldwin Park will host a formal check presentation on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. to celebrate a $3.15 million federal investment secured by Congressman Gil Cisneros. The funding will support the development of a modernized and expanded Teri G. Muse Family Service Center, increasing the city’s capacity to provide social services. The presentation will take place at the current center located at 14305 Morgan Street.
“For nearly 30 years, our Family Service Center has provided life-changing programs to our residents. This significant investment ensures that Baldwin Park can continue to meet the evolving needs of our community for generations to come,” said Baldwin Park Mayor Daniel Damian. “We are deeply grateful to Congressman Cisneros for his leadership and his dedication to strengthening the safety net for our families.”
The Teri G. Muse Family Service Center brings together nonprofit organizations and community partners that provide social, economic, legal, health and human services to residents in need. With increasing demand for these services, a new facility will allow the city and its partners to expand programs, improve accessibility and serve more families throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
The $3.15 million allocation was included in the Fiscal Year 2026 federal funding legislation passed in February.
This local hub has received continuous federal support over the years as former Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano secured $750,000 in 2023 through the Fiscal Year 2023 Omnibus Funding Bill to expand the Teri G. Muse Family Service Center. Support from Congresswoman Napolitan will help add 12,000 square feet of space to the vital facility.
