The California Highway Patrol activated a Silver Alert on Friday for an at-risk 74-year-old man reported missing in Baldwin Park.
Rigoberto Castillo-Gomez was last seen around 8:30 a.m. Thursday on the 4100 block of Bogart Avenue near Palmrose Street, according to the CHP and the Baldwin Park Police Department.
Castillo-Gomez is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes, authorities said. He was last seen wearing a black hat, burgundy long-sleeved shirt, black leather jacket, blue jeans and brown boots.
He speaks Spanish and frequents grocery stores in Baldwin Park, police said.
Anyone with information regarding Castillo-Gomez’s whereabouts was urged to call 911 or the BPPD at 626-960-1955.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or individual who have cognitive impairments.
