Spooky season has arrived, and Duarte has two ways for families to celebrate Halloween together.
Floating Pumpkin Patch
Saturday, Oct. 19 | noon to 3 p.m. | Fitness Center Pool (1600 Huntington Drive)
Make a splash this Halloween at Duarte’s Floating Pumpkin Patch. Families are invited to dive into festive fun as kids pick out a floating pumpkin and enjoy arts and crafts, treats, and seasonal activities. Don’t miss the Pumpkin Decorating Contest, where creativity could win you some smashing prizes.
Registration is required by Thursday, Oct. 16. There are fees of $5 per child for Duarte residents and $10 per child for non-residents. Halloween Howl
Thursday, Oct. 31 | 5 to 8 p.m. | Royal Oaks Park (2627 Royal Oaks Drive)
End the month with an evening at Duarte Parks & Recreation’s annual Halloween Howl. This family-friendly event will feature trick-or-treating, festive frights, and a Fun Zone. Be sure to dress up as prizes will be awarded in the annual Costume Contest.
Costume Contest Schedule:
- 6 to 6:15 p.m. for furry friends
- 6:20 to 6:35 for ages 0–3
- 6:40 to 6:55 p.m. for ages 4–6
- 7 to 7:15 p.m. for ages 10–12
- 7:20 to 7:25 p.m. for family/group

- Single attraction: $1
- Unlimited wristband: $5
