San Gabriel’s Dumpling & Beer Fest turns 10

The City of San Gabriel’s signature fall event, the 10th Annual Dumpling & Beer Fest, returns on Friday, Oct. 3, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the city’s Mission District.

Launched in 2015 as a local twist on Oktoberfest, Dumpling & Beer Fest is celebrating its 10th anniversary with more breweries, more food vendors, and more community fun.

Admission is free and open to guests of all ages. Attendees can enjoy:

  • A diverse selection of dumplings and street food for purchase.
  • Live entertainment featuring DJs, a Soundbox Truck, and rock favorites by The Snipes.
  • Family-friendly activities, including inflatables, face painting, and arts and crafts.
  • Giveaways, games, and community booths throughout the evening.

For guests 21 and over, the artisanal beer garden will feature unlimited pours from 16 regional breweries, including: 

  • Angel City Brewing Company
  • Arts District Brewing Company
  • Belmont Brewing Company
  • Brewjeria Company
  • Common Space Brewery
  • Far Field Beer
  • Feathered Serpent Brewing
  • Ikasu
  • La Bodega Brewing

New this year, to celebrate the 10th anniversary, the city is offering festival packages, which include access to the beer garden, exclusive event merchandise, and limited-edition goodies. Regular tickets are $50 and festival packages can be purchased online at SG10thDandB.eventbrite.com. All wristbands and packages will be available for pickup at the festival entrance on event day.

Youth Dumpling Art Contest Winners to Be Announced

As part of the anniversary celebration, the event will also feature live announcements of the winners of the Youth Dumpling Art Contest, recognizing young artists who creatively represent the spirit of dumplings and community.

Road Closure Notice

The following streets will be closed from 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, until 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4: 

  • Mission Drive from Broadway to Mission Road, and Carmelita Drive.
  • Santa Anita Street from Broadway to McGroarty Street.
