Living Beauty Cancer Foundation will host its 8 Annual Golf Classic on Aug. 25 at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale. The tournament will include a round of golf at Oakmont, with hole-in-one holes and special activities on the course. Prizes and auction items will include a trip to the 2026 Masters Tournament, the 2026 Waste Management Tournament, a wall of wine and more. A few foursomes are still available. If you are not a golfer, you can support by purchasing a tee sign or sponsorship, attend the dinner and live and silent auctions following the tournament or make a donation to support our programs. More information on the tournament is available at lbgolf25.givesmart.com.
Since 2017, the Golf Classic has raised more than $1.1 million to support the programs and services provided by Living Beauty. The organization exists to provide free wellness and support services to more than 3,000 women with cancer. Offerings for women with cancer include overnight and day wellness retreats, movement classes, workshops focused on nutrition and other topics as well as sisterhood-building events.
One of those Living Beauties is Ali. Ali is a single mother of two young girls and is dealing with a complicated stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis. Having been a Living Beauty since 2019, Ali credits Living Beauty with giving her the strength and hope she needs. “Living Beauty gives me hope when I feel none, strength when I am weak, and sisterhood when I feel alone. I am so grateful for the love and support they give, not only to me, but to thousands of other women with cancer as well,” she described.
Executive Director Nancy Davidson added, “Living Beauty meets women wherever they are in their cancer journey and helps provide avenues to healing and wellness. The experiences we provide these women are transformational in their lives, and the bonus of connecting with other women along the same path is incalculable. We are so grateful to our donors and friends for supporting the Golf Classic, our largest fundraising event of the year. It will be a great day on a wonderful course!”
