From Concerts in the Park to beloved annual events, it’s time for summer fun in Duarte.

JULY
July 10 | 6 to 9 p.m. | Summer Concert in the Park: Remix (2000 Buena Vista St.)
Get into the groove this summer for Concerts in the Park on Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. at Beardslee Park. Arrive early and set up your lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy the local vendors, food trucks, a family fun zone, the DJ from 6 to 7 p.m., and a different live band performance every week from 7 to 9 p.m. All Concerts in the Park are free. The kickoff of the Concert in the Park series will feature funk, R&B and new Jack swing.
July 12 | 8 to 10 a.m. | Tails on the Trail (2627 Royal Oaks Drive)
Leash up your dog for a walk along the Donald and Bernice Watson Recreation Trail. At the end of the walk, everyone can visit a variety of pet vendors on the trail. Furry friends can enjoy a pupachino while their owners cool off with an iced coffee. For more information, contact the Duarte Parks and Recreation Department at (626) 357-7931.
July 17 | 6 to 9 p.m. | Summer Concert in the Park: Tania Y Su Nueva Era (2000 Buena Vista St.)
This week’s Concert in the Park will feature high-energy Latin music.
July 24 | 6 to 9 p.m. | Summer Concert in the Park: Dance Dance Evolution (2000 Buena Vista St.)
Dance the night away and listen to dance hits from the disco era to today.
July 31 | 6 to 9 p.m. | Summer Concert in the Park: New Romantics (2000 Buena Vista St.)
It would be a “Cruel Summer” if you missed out on this Taylor Swift tribute band at the last Concert in the Park event for 2025.
AUGUST
Aug. 2 | 10 a.m. to noon | Touch-A-Truck (1610 Huntington Drive)
Explore vehicles of all kinds, including trucks, fire engines, tractors, classic cars, and city buses. This event is free for everyone, and no registration is required. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (626) 357-7931.
Aug. 8 | 6 to 9:30 p.m. | 42nd Annual National Night Out & Movie in the Park (2000 Buena Vista St.)
National Night Out is a nationwide campaign that promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve.
Enjoy free hot dogs grilled by local deputies, chips, and beverages while supplies last. Take part in activities like the Dunk-A-Deputy fundraiser, face painting, inflatables, and games. Plus, check out crime prevention resources, emergency preparedness tips, and first responder vehicles that will be on-site.
As soon as the sun sets, stick around for a screening of “Toy Story” on a big screen in the park. Be sure to pack a blanket, and movie snacks will be provided while supplies last. Aug. 9 | 9 a.m. to noon | Duarte Survivor (1600 Huntington Drive)
Spend a day strategizing through fun and competitive intergenerational games. A $100 cash prize will be awarded to the top 4 players. If you’re high school age or older, register by Friday, July 25 at the Duarte Teen Center (1400 Buena Vista St.) for only a $5 fee.
Aug. 14 | 6 to 8 p.m. | Pickleball After Dark (2627 Royal Oaks Drive)
Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, enjoy open pickleball matches under the stars, with plenty of opportunities to learn and improve through live demos and giveaways throughout the night. This free event is the perfect way to spend an evening outdoors with friends, family, and your community.
