The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD) encourages community members to participate in Fairmount Forward, a public visioning workshop focused on revitalizing Fairmount Park.

With the guiding theme “Preserving What Matters, Planning What’s Next,” this interactive event will take place Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Armory at Fairmount Park, 2501 Fairmount Blvd.

Residents of all ages can attend. RSVP at bit.ly/fairmountforwardrsvp. Not able to make it? Make your voice count in the Fairmount Master Plan Survey at bit.ly/fairmountsurvey.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including an interactive insight map where they can highlight areas of the park they’d like to preserve, renovate, or reimagine, such as the playground, rose garden, amphitheater, pedal boats, and historic train area.

“This is more than a planning session — it’s a chance for the community to reflect on what makes Fairmount Park meaningful and to co-create a shared vision for its future,” said Pamela Galera, Parks, Recreation Community Services Department Director “We want to ensure that Fairmount continues to serve as a vibrant, inclusive gathering space for generations to come.”

Attendees also can complete a community survey, share their favorite Fairmount Park memories, and sign up for email updates to stay informed about the master planning process and upcoming improvement phases.

Fairmount Park is Riverside’s most visited park and a designated historic site. Community input will help guide priorities for future improvements, including roadways, pedestrian access, gathering spaces, and recreational amenities.
