Despite the preemption of this year’s Masters of Taste in Pasadena because of the January wildfires, organizers of the annual event are presenting a philanthropic event Sunday at the Rose Bowl.
Generous Plates — A Benefit for Union Station Homeless Services is “a one-night-only premier dining experience set to take place … in the iconic Locker Rooms at the Historic Pasadena Rose Bowl,” event organizers said.
The exclusive event will offer an intimate and immersive dining experience that features two five-course tasting menus crafted by some of the Los Angeles area’s most celebrated chefs. Accompanying the food will be premier selections of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer and nonalcoholic drinks from top-tier beverage makers and delectable desserts from LA’s leading masters of sweets.
“This night promises to be an unparalleled culinary journey,” organizers said.
All proceeds from Generous Plates will directly benefit Union Station Homeless Services, supporting homelessness programs and wildfire relief efforts for the Eaton Fire-affected community, according to organizers. Masters of Taste has raised nearly $3 million for homeless services.
“For 50 years, Union Station Homeless Services has been deeply rooted in this community, standing by our neighbors in times of need,” Katie Hill, CEO of Union Station Homeless Services, said in a statement. “When the Eaton Fire displaced families overnight, our team was on the ground from day one, providing critical support and ensuring no one was left behind. Generous Plates is not just about raising funds, it’s about reinforcing our commitment to this community, today and for as long as it takes.”
