The City of Duarte is welcoming the spring season with a variety of community events. From a fashion show in partnership with Macy’s to a day of service honoring Cesar Chavez and festive Easter celebrations, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
MARCH
Duarte Spring Fashion Show
Saturday | 1 p.m. | Duarte Performing Arts Center
The Duarte Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Macy’s of Santa Anita, will host the annual Duarte Spring Fashion Show at the Duarte Performing Arts Center (1401 Highland Ave.). Local amateur models, including youth, teens, adults, seniors, and families, will walk the runway showcasing Macy’s latest spring fashions. Presale tickets are available for purchase at the Duarte Teen Center (1400 Buena Vista St.) for $10, while tickets at the door will be $15.
Cesar Chavez Day of Service
Saturday, March 22 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Westminster Gardens
The community is invited to participate in the Cesar Chavez Day of Service at Westminster Gardens (1420 Santo Domingo Ave.), a 32-acre campus in Duarte. Volunteers will contribute to a community service project in honor of the civil rights leader’s legacy. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and participants are encouraged to sign up at in advance at AccessDuarte.com to secure their spot.
APRIL
Jump for Autism
Wednesday, April 2 | 6 – 8 p.m.| Duarte Teen Center
In recognition of National Autism Awareness Month, the Jump for Autism event will take place at the Duarte Teen Center (1400 Buena Vista St.). The event will feature a silent dance party, sensory stations, and informational resources for families. Community members are encouraged to wear blue or an autism awareness shirt every Wednesday throughout April to show their support.
Underwater Egg Hunt
Sunday, April 6 | 1 – 3 p.m. | Duarte Fitness Center Pools
Families are invited to dive into the seasonal fun at the Underwater Egg Hunt. Children ages 4 to 13, as well as a newly added age group for participants 13 and older, will have the opportunity to search for eggs in the Duarte pools (1600 Huntington Drive). A special golden egg will be hidden for a lucky participant to claim a prize. The event will also include craft stations, photos with the Easter Bunny, and open recreation swim. The registration deadline is Friday, April 4, and participants can register online at AccessDuarte.com.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Saturday, April 19 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Encanto Park
The Duarte Rotary Club will sponsor Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Encanto Park (751 Encanto Parkway). The breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, and a choice of coffee, milk, or juice. A $5 donation per person is required, and breakfast will be available while supplies last. In the event of inclement weather, the breakfast may be subject to cancellation.
EGGFEST
Saturday, April 19 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Encanto Park
Immediately following breakfast, the City will host EGGFEST 2025 at Encanto Park (751 Encanto Parkway). This free event will feature egg hunts for children ages 2 to 10, as well as springtime crafts, games, music, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunts will be divided by age group, beginning at 10:15 a.m. for ages 3 to 4, 10:45 a.m. for ages 5 to 7, and 11:15 a.m. for ages 8 to 10.
