Digital Promise, the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD), aiEDU: The AI Education Project, and the University of California, Irvine School of Education, have announced the AI K12 Deeper Learning Summit, taking place from Thursday to Saturday, at the Westin Hotel in Anaheim.
The 2025 AI K12 Deeper Learning Summit offers educators a space where they can share and discover how AI can “unlock deeper learning for students.” Participants, primarily teachers and principals, will explore best practices for responsible AI use and learn how to advocate for technology justice policies in their schools and communities. The summit aims to help shape the future of AI in education and society.
Summit speakers and participants will explore themes and questions including:
“As we navigate a pivotal moment in educational history, accessible advanced AI tools are transforming the learning landscape,” notes Michael Matsuda, superintendent of Anaheim Union High School District. “Our commitment is to transition our students from being mere consumers to becoming innovative creators, proficient in leveraging AI to thrive in their future endeavors. AUHSD centers our teaching and learning around career development and whole child education. We believe using AI wisely and strategically is integral to achieving success in our schools.
The summit will feature expert-driven workshops, “spark” talks, and presentations on AI educational frameworks. The ethical dilemmas presented by AI and the opportunities for societal problem solving will take center stage.
