Ring in the holidays with Baldwin Park at its 30th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Esther Snyder Community Center Gymnasium, 4100 Baldwin Park Blvd.
“We’re thrilled to invite residents and visitors to this beloved Baldwin Park holiday tradition, now in its 30th year,” Baldwin Park Mayor Emmanuel Estrada said in a statement. “The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is a heartwarming event where families and friends come together to celebrate the joy of the season and create lasting memories.”
This milestone year’s celebration features a “Winter Candyland” theme. The evening will start with performances by choir groups from Baldwin Park High School and Sierra Vista High School, as well as the Julia McNeill Carolers, Pualani’s Polynesian Dancers and Grupo Folklorico Estrellas De Los Angeles.
The night’s main highlight will be the lighting of Baldwin Park’s 18-foot holiday tree, signaling the start of the city’s winter festivities. After the tree-lighting ceremony, guests may partake in complimentary seasonal refreshments provided by the city and take a free commemorative photograph with Santa Claus.
Attendance at the event is free.
