The Glendale Police Department is getting set to launch its Real Time Intelligence Center, the department announced last week.
The center at GPD headquarters, at 131 N. Isabel St., will host a grand opening event Nov. 13 at 10 a.m., according to the department’s announcement. Mayor Elen Asatryan, Glendale City Council members, City Manager Roubik Golanian, Police Chief Manny Cid, police command staff and other Glendale city officials were expected to attend.
The RTIC’s police crime analysts and dispatchers will serve as “an around-the-clock resource to patrol officers responding to crimes in Glendale,” police said in a statement. The real-time information officers will receive from the RTIC aims to improve emergency response and assist detectives in solving crime investigations.
Parking for the RTIC unveiling event is on Isabel Street between Broadway and Wilson Avenue, officials said. Additional parking is at the Glendale Civic Center Parking Structure, on Wilson Avenue between Isabel and Glendale Avenue.
