On Aug. 17, 1903, Arcadia was officially incorporated as a city in Los Angeles County. This year, Arcadia has a variety of ways to commemorate this milestone.

Summer Concert & Movie in the Park

Join the City of Arcadia at the last 2024 Summer Concert & Movie in the Park on Thursday, beginning at 6:30 p.m., for a chance to receive exclusive commemorative items featuring artwork from Community Art Contest Winner Vivien Watts. Visit the City of Arcadia’s booths during the event to receive a free cupcake and commemorative stadium cup filled with drinks donated by California Pizza Kitchen, Denny’s, Goki Cafe and Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea.

Special Discounts to Celebrate

With the commemorative stadium cups, there will also be special discount cards to encourage residents to continue celebrating all month long by visiting local businesses and redeeming limited time offers. Participating restaurants include California Pizza Kitchen at Santa Anita, Chick-fil-A at The Shops at Santa Anita, Denny’s, Flavor Fusions Café, Hyper Coffee, Little Provence Café and Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea.

All giveaway items are limited and first come, first serve. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will start at dusk. Kids can enjoy the fun zone area with plenty of games, crafts and activities. The Summer Concert & Movie in the Park will be held at City Hall Lawn, located at 240 W. Huntington Drive, between City Hall and the Police Station. Free parking is available at City Hall and Santa Anita Park, Gate 5.
