A teen who went missing from Monterey Park for a week was found safe Tuesday, authorities reported.

On July 16 at approximately 9:36 p.m. the Monterey Park Police Department began a missing person investigation into the whereabouts of 15-year-old Alison Jillian Chao.

Alison was safely located Tuesday morning with the assistance of the Glendale Police Department, Monterey Park officials announced.
