The City of Baldwin Park is hosting Summer Splash Parties for local youth, one to 18 years old, to have fun and beat the heat. The next event is on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Morgan Park (4100 Baldwin Park Blvd.). The city held its first Summer Splash event earlier this month.

“The first Summer Splash Party was a huge success. It was exciting to see kids flock to Morgan Park for fun and free giveaways,” said Baldwin Park Mayor Emmanuel J. Estrada. “These summer splash parties are not just about fun, but also about bringing families together and building community.”

There will be shaded areas for family members to supervise. Free raffle giveaways, courtesy of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, as well as free hot dogs and snowcones, will be available while supplies last. In between snacks, enjoy water slides, slip n’ slides, splash pads, kiddie pools and even some non-water activities, such as bracelet making and other arts and crafts. DJ Fabian will be providing live music.

“With the extreme heat washing over the community and forcing people to stay inside, we wanted to create an opportunity for connection while staying cool,” Estrada added. “Baldwin Park’s community splash party is a great chance for kids to make the most of their summer while staying safe in the extreme heat. I want to thank the Department of Recreation and Community Services, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the Esther Snyder Community Center and everyone who worked to make these incredible events possible.”
