The next citywide yard, or garage, sale weekend in Ontario is Aug. 2-4, the city announced earlier this month.
In 2010, the city adopted an ordinance that gave residents the opportunity to hold more sales each year on fixed dates and eliminated yard sale permits and fees, officials said.
Yard sale rules include one, 6-square-foot sign on an owner’s property, and merchandise sold must be the seller’s personal property only, no new or resold items.
For questions regarding the yard sale, contact the Ontario Community Improvement Department at 909-395-2007.
If rainy conditions exist on the scheduled Friday or Saturday, an alternate yard sale may be held on Aug. 9, 10 and 11.
