Found safe: 73-year-old woman last seen in Arcadia

A 73-year-old woman who was reported missing after last being seen in Arcadia has been found safe, authorities announced Thursday.

Paulette Elliott was last seen about 10:30 a.m. Monday in the area of West Lemon Avenue and South Baldwin Avenue, near Baldwin Stocker Elementary School, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Arcadia Police Department.

The CHP announced Thursday afternoon that Elliott had been found safe. No further details were available.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
