Authorities Tuesday sought the public’s help to locate a 19-year-old man wanted in connection with shootings at a house party in an unincorporated area near Covina that left two men dead and two others injured.

Joel Daniel Garcia was identified as a suspect in the fatal shootings and is wanted for attempted murder, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies dispatched about 12:30 a.m. Sunday to the 17000 block of East Bellbrook Street regarding the shooting found one man, later identified as 20-year-old Ronnie Benitez of Covina, dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Paramedics rushed three other men to hospitals, where one was later pronounced dead. The conditions of the other two shooting victims were not immediately known, and the identity of the other fatally wounded man was not released.

Homicide investigators said there was a party at the home and at least one of the attendees pulled out a handgun, fired some shots and left the scene.

Garcia is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The LASD said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The sheriff’s Homicide Bureau urged anyone with information regarding the Covina shootings to call 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
