“Black Adam” kept its spot atop the box office this weekend, taking in $27.7 million at theaters in the United States and Canada, according to industry estimates released Sunday.

The DC Comics adaptation starring Dwayne Johnson, which opened to $67 million last weekend, once again finished ahead of the Julia Roberts-George Clooney vehicle “Ticket to Paradise,” which grossed $10 million Friday through Sunday in its second week in theaters, Comscore reported.

Horror films followed “Black Adam” in the next three spots on Halloween weekend. “Prey for the Devil” opened with $7 million. “Smile” was fourth with $5 million in its fifth week in theaters, followed by “Halloween Ends” with $3.8 million in its third week.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” ($2.82 million), “Till” ($2.81 million), “Terrifier 2” ($1.8 million), “The Woman King” ($1.1 million) and “TAR” ($1 million).
