Police Friday sought the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a bank in Santa Monica.
The bank robbery suspect entered the bank located at 1401 Wilshire Blvd. about 4:10 p.m. on Sept. 2 and handed a bag and a letter to a teller that “indicated the intent to rob the bank,” according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
The teller placed a “large sum” of money into the bag and handed it to the suspect, who fled on foot.
The suspect was described as white man between 30 and 45 years old, between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet tall, between 170 and 190 pounds, with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue bucket hat, glasses, a gray long-sleeve sweater with red zippers, dark pants and black shoes.
