76-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s reported missing

A 76-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease was reported missing Thursday after last being seen in an unincorporated area near Inglewood.

Sylvester Wright was last seen at noon on the 1400 block of West 103rd Street, near Normandie Avenue, said Deputy Brenda Serna of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Wright is Black, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, has brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a red plaid jacket, a blue shirt and blue jeans, Serna said.

Anyone with information about Wright or who knows of his whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
