Man with dementia, high blood pressure missing in Compton

An 82-year-old man who has been missing for three days and who authorities say has been diagnosed with dementia and high blood pressure was reported missing Tuesday in Compton.

Walter Lee Taylor was last seen at 8 a.m. Saturday on the 200 block of North Mayo Avenue, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Taylor is black, is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 193 pounds, has shaved gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue pants with white stripes and a medical bracelet.

Anyone with information about Taylor or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called into Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
