Police sought the public’s help Monday to identify the suspect who robbed a man at gunpoint after he withdrew $1,000 from a Culver City ATM.
Culver City Police Department officers were called about 1:25 a.m. Saturday to the Chase Bank branch at 5670 Sepulveda Blvd., near Slauson Avenue, on reports of the robbery and made contact with the victim, who told authorities that he was withdrawing money from an ATM when he was approached by the suspect armed with a handgun who demanded his money at gunpoint, according to a department statement.
“The victim said that he was in fear for his life and handed the money to the suspect who ran towards (a) suspect vehicle and fled in an unknown direction,” according to the CCPD.
The suspect was described as a Black man who is between 20 and 30 years old and stands about 6-feet-tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, dark pants, black shoes and a black face mask.
The suspect vehicle was described as an older model gray Chrysler minivan with multiple dents along the front bumper and passenger side.
