Authorities Friday sought the public’s help to find an 83-year-old man with dementia who went missing in South Los Angeles.
Alex Gonzalez Mendoza was last seen on July 7 near his home in the 1500 block of East 77th Place, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Mendoza is Hispanic, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes.
“Mr. Mendoza suffers from dementia, congestive heart failure and has a pacemaker,” a sheriff’s department statement said.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. Tipsters may also use the website lacrimestoppers.org.
