The City of Arcadia is continuing to promote their 2022 free summer concert & movie series, “Concerts and Movies in the Park!,” which holds an event every Thursday from June 23 through Aug. 4.

Concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m. and movies at dusk. Kids can enjoy the fun zone area with plenty of games, crafts and activities. The location will be at 240 W. Huntington Dr., on the lawn between Arcadia City Hall and the police department.

On Thursday, the event will be hosting The Smokin’ Cobras as their musical act, while the movie of choice directly following the performance will be Disney’s “Mulan.”

The Smokin’ Cobras have thrilled audiences from Dodger Stadium to Japan. Get ready for a patriotic show, high energy, and big hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. The Smokin’ Cobras are also proud to be servin’ up classic AM radio hits to a new millennium!

“Mulan” is recognized as one of the most successful animated films from the 90s. The story follows a girl named Mulan, the only child of her honored family. When the Huns invade China, one man from every family is called to arms. Mulan’s father, who has an old wound and cannot walk properly, decides to fight for his country and the honor of his family though he will not survive an enemy encounter.

Free parking will be available at City Hall and Santa Anita Park, Gate 5. For information call (626) 574-5113.
